Time to Talk Befriending Ministry
In addition to providing a much needed befriending service to older people from all backgrounds and beliefs, the founding partners also provide Pastoral support to older people who would like to receive prayer and/or attend a Church Service.
Working in partnership with the IBTI Bible College, Portslade Baptist Church, Brighton Vineyard Church, Holland Road Baptist Church and St Mary's Church, our aim is to help older people who are socially isolated and/or feel lonely as a result of not being part of a Church community to get connected.
We currently provide a monthly Community Church Service at a local Brighton and Hove City Council Senior's Housing scheme. Since starting the service eighteen months ago the congregation has grown rapidly and many people said that they enjoy the time of fellowship, worship and befriending together.
'I really appreciate being able to congregate in the lounge and take Holy Communion. I love going to Church but since I have become immobile this has been impossible. It is a blessing to me that I can attend'.

"My involvement with Time to Talk Befriending is in connection with a monthly Church service in a local sheltered housing scheme in Hove. In my experience nothing and no one is too much trouble for Time to Talk Befriending to reach out to and support. I applaud the work that they undertake which is Christian based, in a spirit of love, compassion and concern...Their work is always for the benefit and edification of those whom they try to help".
